Located in the heart of Norwich's Golden Triangle, off Unthank Road, Ford's is a one-stop shop for fruit, vegetables and fish - ranging from salmon fishcakes to Cromer crab. 

Also for sale are fresh plants and flowers, eggs from local farms and a range of dried goods.

2. The Green Grocers

This fantastic independent wholefoods store, which also offers local delivery, boasts a great range of fruit and vegetables and it has a bakery too.  

The charming café there serves food and drink daily and sourdough pizzas are available as takeaways or to eat outside on Thursday to Saturday evenings.

3. Norfolk Daily Fresh

In the heart of NR3, Norfolk Daily Fresh entices customers from the street with its colourful frontage, with shelves full to the brim with fruit and vegetables from across the world.

Inside the shop, Norfolk Daily Fresh also sells Kurdish, Iranian, Arabic, Turkish and Greek food products, with Halal seafood and meat.

4. Mike, Debs & Sons Fruit and Veg

This family-run business was established in Norwich in 1968 and it also offers local delivery of various fruit and vegetable boxes. 

Popular seasonal and local offerings include tomatoes, asparagus, strawberries, rhubarb, tomatoes and cherries.

Another long-established stall on Norwich Market, CJ's Fruit and Veg has been run by four generations of the same family.

Much of its colourful and delicious range is sourced from the local area, which includes strawberries, asparagus and plums, and it offers delivery.
