Londis on Witard Road opened its doors after Norwich City Council granted a license to sell alcohol at the premises for off-site consumption.
Vakisan Nagenthiram submitted the application to the council in March, requesting permission for 29 Witard Road as part of its preparations to launch the store.
The plans include drinks fridges and shelves behind the counter displaying spirits.

On April 11, the shop then opened as a Londis to customers in the area.
The shop is part of a small retail parade off Plumstead Road East in Thorpe St Andrew.
A shopkeeper for the store said the business had been doing well and he is expecting it to progress as more people learn it has opened.
Nearby businesses include an East of England Co-op, PACT Animal Sanctuary charity shop, Mama Mia Italian takeaway and Eagle Barber.
