The opening date for a "creative" new bar and kitchen in the city's Lanes has been revealed.

First Draft Bar and Kitchen will welcome diners through its doors at 25B St Giles Street for the first time on June 6.

The venue will specialise in "experimental" cocktails and restaurant pop-ups, featuring guest chefs and bartenders on a temporary basis

Gastro veteran Oli Cabutto will be helming the inaugural kitchen, offering regional Mexican food including tacos, chilli, fried prawns and sorbets.

Daisy Larkan, owner of First Draft, said: "We couldn't be happier to have Mal Del Puerco helping us launch our new place.

"Oli's previous pop-ups sold out too fast, so we're delighted to be able to give him 12 nights and a full-scale kitchen to play with.

"We're also seriously excited about the weird and wonderful cocktails we'll be serving to accompany his dishes.

"This is exactly the kind of creative collaboration we started this project to be able to explore."

Mal Del Puerco will be at First Draft every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from June 6. Reservations are now open and further pop-ups will be announced in the coming months.
