The case against a man who was tasered by police after making threats and barricading himself inside a city home has been dropped.
Emergency services were called to a property in Lefroy Road, in Mile Cross, at 4.40pm on Saturday, December 9 following reports a man was making threats.
Officers who attended the scene had to use a taser to incapacitate the man - who had barricaded himself in.
He was taken to hospital for treatment and later arrested on suspicion of affray and assaulting a police officer.

He was then taken to Wymondham Police Station for questioning and subsequently detained under the Mental Health Act.
However, the man's bail ending on Saturday has brought an end to the case.
A police spokeswoman said: "There has been no further action on the case, as all lines of enquiry have been exhausted - pending any new information."
A Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said appliances from Sprowston and Earlham, including their aerial ladder platform, assisted the police during the incident.
