The sister bar to a much-loved stall on Norwich Market is set to open later this month.

Toby Westgarth and Dominic Burke, of Sir Toby's Beers, are planning to launch their new venture at the end of February.

Bier Draak, their new "continental beer bar" at 42 King Street, was originally meant to open in December but has since been pushed back.

Mr Burke said: "It's been quite a surprise how many people are excited about it and have been asking about our plans.

"We haven't been able to start work with how busy we've been on the market and at our bar in Lowestoft.

"We're quite a small team and want to get this right, we don't want to rush things."

He said they hoped to have Bier Draak up and running by the beginning of next month at the latest.

It will feature draught and bottled German and Belgian beers alongside a selection of cold meats and cheeses.

Mr Burke added: "I'm reluctant to announce an exact opening date but we're delighted with the reception we've had already."
