No arrests have been made after Delia Smith's car was attacked with bottles, cans and flares ahead of the Norwich v Ipswich derby match at the weekend.

The Norwich City joint majority shareowner was arriving by car in Constantine Road, Ipswich, on Saturday when the town fans began to throw objects at the vehicle.

Inside were Delia and her husband Michael Wynn Jones who were following the Ipswich Town team coach into the Portman Road grounds.

Norwich City manager David Wagner later condemned the actions and called for a lifetime ban for the Ipswich fans involved.

He said: "I don't get how you can behave like this when a woman over 80 years old drives to a football match, even if she may be supporting the opponent."

The two teams drew 2-2 following the hotly-anticipated clash which saw Jonathan Rowe score at the 40 and 49 minute marks.
