Treat the whole family this Christmas without spending a fortune as kids eat free at Norwich Theatre Royal during panto season.

The show this year is Sleeping Beauty, The Fairy’s Tale, which runs from December 9 2023 until January 7 2024 with an all-star cast. 

The in-house Prelude restaurant is offering a special festive menu during panto season to celebrate.

You can get a free children's main course and dessert, for diners under 12, when accompanied by an adult purchasing a two or three-course meal, which costs £24 or £28 respectively.

The main choices for adults include a Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, sea bream with lemon and dill potatoes, leeks, capers and beurre blanc, or roasted squash, with walnut, sage and mascarpone risotto.

The main choices for children are roast turkey with roast potatoes, glazed carrots, parsnips and gravy, chicken or Quorn goujons and fries or macaroni cheese.

Laura Wakefield, head of commercial at Norwich Theatre, said: "Our head chef Toby Thomas has worked hard to create a festive menu that highlights some of the amazing local produce Norfolk has to offer.

“As a mum, I know Christmas can be costly and Prelude’s kids eat free offer is the perfect way to treat the whole family.”
