Broadway and West End hit musical Dear Evan Hansen is coming to Norwich on its first UK and Ireland tour.

The Olivier, Tony and Grammy award-winning musical is heading out on the road in September 2024, starting at the Nottingham Playhouse.

Norwich Theatre Royal will then be the final venue from May 13 to 17 2025, with casting yet to be announced.

Evan is an anxious high school kid who wants nothing more than to fit in.

But on his way to fitting in he doesn't tell the whole truth and, as events spiral, Evan faces a reckoning with himself and everyone around him.

Dear Evan Hansen has a score by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, the Oscar-winning composers of The Greatest Showman, and a book by Steven Levenson.

This new production is directed by Adam Penford, the artistic director of the Nottingham Playhouse, and the songs include You Will Be Found, For Forever and Waving Through a Window.
