Commuters driving down St Stephens Road found navigating it a little trickier than usual after a vehicle got its rear-end stuck in the air.

The owner of the car, a silver Ford Fusion, had to ditch the vehicle in the middle of the road, near the roundabout, after the vehicle's rear axle seemingly broke, before police arrived to help with the flow of traffic.

People finishing up a busy day at work were greeted with the peculiar sight on their way out of the city on Monday evening (October 2).
