A Norwich bartender is hoping to shake his way to success as he reaches the regional finals for a huge cocktail competition.

Meister Hunter 2023 has welcomed entries from across the UK, Ireland and Switzerland, who have created a unique cocktail using Jägermeister.

Mixologists could use up to five other ingredients and entry was by posting a picture on Instagram of their drink.

Mr Wright's cocktail is called Family Values and it is inspired by the flavours his father loved, who he never met and passed away when he was little.

He said: "I engaged with family members on his side who I haven’t heard from in years to learn about him and the things he loved in life and so this drink was born."

The drink includes Jäegermeister, Teeling Whiskey, Yellow Chartreuse, sugar syrup, malic acid solution and a whole egg.

He added: "A good cocktail has to be well balanced and flavourful with a nice smell."
