The magic has finally run out on an award-winning business which has announced it will soon be closing its doors for the final time.

Norwich Cauldron in Magdalen Street, co-owned by Rachel Watkins and Stephen Knock, have been offering magical gifts and experiences since opening on March 26, 2022.

The independent business has now confirmed it will be closing once the school summer holidays finish.

While the shop's final date has not been set in stone, it's recommended that customers stock up on magical goodies over the next few weeks, as the owners hope to sell the remaining stock by the time children return to school in September.

Not only that but the shop's furniture and magical props will also be available to buy.

Rachel said: "We're so sad to be closing.

"However, setting up and running Norwich Cauldron has truly been life-changing.

"We've made lots of friends in the local community and I hope we'll be an enduring happy memory for our customers long after we're gone."

Around six weeks after opening, the shop won the Muddy Stilettos award for Best New Lifestyle Startup in Norfolk.

During its tenure, Rachel and Stephen helped the business be known for its range of mysterious and magical wares, from Harry Potter merchandise to magic-inspired mugs, notepads and badges.

In December 2002, 'magical experiences' were introduced, offering customers a look into the history of mystics - and those who hunted them - in the Fine City.

With the business premises due to become vacant in September, the owners are looking for another business to take on the remainder of the lease.
