A shopowner was left hot and bothered after hundreds of pounds worth of sex toys were stolen.

CCTV footage from inside Sinsins Boutique of Love, in St Benedicts Street, has shown the moment £210 worth of items were taken in broad daylight.

The video shows a woman walking in and perusing the shop before leaving with a number of items on July 1.

Helen Shepherd, who has owned the shop for four and a half years, said: "I've had a lot stolen this year.

"In total, I think I've had about £2,000 worth of stock stolen this year alone.

"I understand there's been a cost-of-living crisis but this isn't food or formula for someone's child.

"This person has brazenly targeted a small business.

"I wasn't 100pc sure anything had been taken until I looked back at the footage.

"I'm at the end of my tether with it all."

The theft, on Saturday, July 1, has been reported to the police. A spokeswoman confirmed: "The incident occurred on Saturday at 3.12pm when three items were stolen from a premises in St Benedict's Street, Norwich."

Helen added: "It's been really tough for businesses lately.

"These thefts are making my life a lot harder, whether it's working more and taking extra steps to keep the shop safe, or affording the running costs.

"Whenever I feel like I start to get a foothold on the year, something else like this happens and gets me down again.

"But I'm not going to let this woman get away with it - I'm definitely not expecting to get the sex toys back but it's becoming principle.

"I want any other potential thieves to know that I'm not a soft touch."
