Police are investigating vandalism in which yobs were caught on CCTV breaking a parking light outside someone's home.

The incident occurred during the early hours of Tuesday, May 30, when footage captured the yobs in action, in Colindeep Lane, Sprowston.

The unprovoked attack was reported to police who are looking into the case.

A police spokeswoman said: "We received a report of garden lights at a property in Colindeep Lane, Sprowston, being damaged.

"The incident reportedly happened at around 1.15am on 30 May."

The victim, who did not wish to be named for fear of being targeted again, added: "The police got back to me a few days ago saying they were investigating the incident and have made local patrols aware.

"At the moment I have stuck the lights back on with some industrial strength mastic, however I won't be buying new ones as I'm sure it will just happen again regardless.

"It's unnecessary, mindless vandalism - I honestly don't know why people do it.

"I've lived here for around 12 years and haven't experienced anything like this before."
