The new owner of a Greek street food trailer in a car park on the outskirts of Norwich is aiming to take the business up a gear.

The Great Gyros was opened by Georgios Michailidis and Vicky Stogianni outside Homebase in Sprowston Retail Park in March 2022, with items including gyros and souvlaki wraps.

It has built up a big following, but the couple recently had to leave the business due to personal reasons.

Mr Michailidis's friend Andreas Lampridis, who he met while working at The Real Greek restaurant, has taken it on.

It has fresh branding and some new menu items, including vegan gyros, a saragli dessert, similar to baklava, and a new kebab combining beef and lamb.

Mr Lampridis said: "I said yes straight away - I have always been an employee and wanted to do something on my own.

"I have had a good reaction so far and I would eventually like to open something on the other side of Norwich too."

The opening times are Tuesday to Thursday 12noon-7pm, Friday and Saturday 12noon-8pm and Sundays 12noon-4pm.
