A family business is celebrating the third generation at the helm of the company at the same time as its 20th anniversary and a huge expansion.

James Hodds, 40, heads up Waveney Campers at Norwich Camping and Leisure with wife Zeena, based at Norwich Camping and Leisure in Blofield.

The firm puts on average 100 campervans on the road each year, and is a main dealer - and one of the UK's top sellers - of Ford Landseer campervans.

Waveney Campers will hit the milestone of 20 years in business on April 27 - within the same month of spending £10,000 expanding the business.

It was set up by James' mum and stepdad Lynne and Alan Strong in 2003, with James joining the business in 2016.

On Saturday, James and Zeena's son Cameron, 21, also joined the company, being the third generation to do so.

James explained: "It was always the idea to grow and move forward with Zeena and I at the helm.

"We now have enough space to display 20 vehicles - where we only had space for eight before - and two air-inflation folding campers.

"It's a massive jump.

"We're really proud of how far we've come. It feels amazing.

"Whatever the future's going to bring, I can't wait."

The expansion, including the land and laying new grass and other groundwork costs, totals £10,000, as well as investing in lots of new stock to fill the acquired space.

"I feel we're set up for the future," he added. "And with my son joining us now, I really hope we can continue this as a family business.

"For the next 20 or 25 years, we can really push forward for something both my son and daughter can take over."
