From circus performers to musicians, a summer-long event is returning to Norwich with a new name and look for 2023.

Head Out, Not Home is Norwich Business Improvement District's (BID) annual free programme of street entertainment.

This year it will relaunch with the new name Norwich Summer Sessions for its 10th anniversary.

A launch event took place on St Gregory's Green earlier this week, with The High Points playing live and a huge deckchair in the sunshine.

The outdoor performances will run every Sunday from 12.40pm from July 30 until September 3, with the programme managed by NORCA.

The stages will be located at London Street, hosting Covent Garden-style variety entertainers, and live music will be at The Forum, Westlegate, St Gregory's Green and Gentleman's Walk.

The line-up includes returning favourites The Vagaband, The Shackleton Trio and Lucy Grubb.

Stefan Gurney, executive director of Norwich BID, said: "This free entertainment provides a fabulous vibe across the city over the summer, encouraging people to visit Norwich and dwell longer with a positive effect for local businesses."
