Police are calling for witnesses to step forward after a young couple was chased down the street in an attempted mugging last week.

It comes after two teenagers walking their 13-week-old puppy claimed they were chased along Langley Walk by a knife-wielding duo, leaving them "too scared" to go back to their home.

Now police are investigating the Heigham Grove incident and asking for information.

A spokeswoman said: "Police were called to reports of an attempted robbery in Norwich at 6pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2023.

"The incident happened when the victims were walking along Langley Walk and two males approached them and demanded money.

"The victims fled towards Devonshire Street."

Zoe Wilson, 19, who was with her partner Lewis Tuthill when being chased by the thugs, said: "I was scared for our lives.

"I haven't been able to sleep since it happened.

"It's absolutely terrified me, to be honest."
