To coincide with the release of Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll, the new biopic of the life and music of Ian Dury, Going Out is offering readers the chance to win copies of The Essential Collection, a new greatest hits collection of Ian Dury and The Blockheads.

2010 is the 10th Anniversary of Ian Dury's passing and in what will be a big year for his music, a soundtrack for a generation of a certain age, the year begins with the release of this essential collection of his best known and biggest recordings.

This new collection features 20 recordings, including What A Waste, Reasons To Be Cheerful (Part 3), I Want To Be Straight, as well as the number one classic Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick and the title track to the film Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll.

Dury was a fascinating character and a unique artist who gave the English language modern-day clichés in the aptly named album title Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll and Reasons To Be Cheerful. His fans include Damon Albarn, Sir Paul McCartney, Madness and Robbie Williams.
