Christmas shoppers are in for a treat this week as a festive market gets underway in Norwich.

The Global Village Market runs at The Forum on Millennium Plain from Thursday, November 30 until Saturday December 2 between 10am and 5pm.

Over 35 stalls will set up shop at the event, featuring crafts, gifts and food from all around the world. Here's a look at some of the things you won't want to miss out on:

• Bratwurst BBQ

Shopping is hungry work and what better way to keep yourself motivated than to snack on authentic German streetfood as you go. Bratwurst BBQ will be at the market on Saturday, December 1 along with their range of traditional German sausages, including Bratwurst, Currywurst and Frikadellen.

• Bright as a Button

Looking for a gift for a fashion-focused friend or family member? Look no further, Bright as a Button creates unique jewellery from vintage and antique buttons, including Chanel buttons and buttons from Japan.

• Pebble Hut

Following the creation of the Norfolk Rocks Facebook page, people have gone mad for painted pebbles and stones. If you know someone who has taken a certain fascination with this trend, why not get them their very own piece of pebble art from Pebble Hut who will be attending the event on Thursday only. Designs can be personalised.

• Risi Bici Cafe Deli

This Italian cafe deli will be setting up shop outside The Forum on Saturday December 2 offering coffees, hot drinks, Italian deli products and other tasty treats.

• Helena Carrington

Norwich-based artist and illustrator Helena Carrington (who designed the market's posters) will be showcasing her work at the event on Friday and Saturday. Her art focuses on cities around the world, including Norwich. Expect to see a great selection of prints and Christmas cards.

• Bakeshack UK

Who doesn't love a good pie? Silly question, right?! Bakeshack UK specialise in creating baked goods with an oriental twist. Based in Swanton Morely, this company will be attending the market on Thursday and Friday with a range of treats. Items they have taken to other evens include Japanese soft bread, pork buns and hoisin duck pies.

• Thamon London

Thamon London is a small business started by a UEA Business School graduate with help from UEA Enterprise. The company specialises in vegan-friendly wallets, bags and more made using fallen Asian sal and lotus leaves.

• Artisan Pastry Chef

Joaquim Teles, who hails from Portugal, has worked as a pastry chef for over 25 years, honing his skills across the globe. The 44-year-old currently runs an independent business, selling sweet treats at markets and shows across East Anglia. He will be attending across all three days, bringing with him a range of Portuguese and French gateaux and pastries, including Portuguese pasteis de nata (custard tarts) and Christmas specialities.

• Dorcas Creates

Dorcas Creates will be attending the market over the three days, bringing a range of contemporary Afrocentric pins, greeting cars and pocket mirrors. If you're looking for something cute and quirky to give as a gift this Christmas, these products could be ideal.

• The Gift Wrap Fairy

If you love Christmas shopping but hate the idea of spending hours cutting paper, wrapping and tying bows, why not pay a visit to The Gift Wrap Fairy who will be on hand for the duration of the market offering a gift wrapping service. Go on, make Christmas a little easier for yourself.
