The Americans arrived and took over the Waterfront last night as Cincinnati natives Walk the Moon played their first ever show in Norwich.
The night wasn't quite sold out, with tickets still being sold at the door, but the crowd made their voices heard with an ovation of singing and screams.
To kick things off it was Oregon locals Flor, bringing a mixture of indie rock and synth pop sounds to the UK after releasing their debut album in May last year.
The band brought energy and positivity to the stage with a mix of up beat indie riffs and the occasional synth drop providing an accessible sound that mixed quite well with Walk the Moon.
It is always a joy to see the support bands bringing energy and personality to the stage, and Flor did that from the off.
Despite guitarist McKinley Kitts laughing through most of the first song due to a problem with his in-ear monitors, they carried on playing through professionally, not showing the slightest problem, finishing their set without any dramas.
Their personality shone through between songs, introducing where they are from and admitting to finally learn how to say 'Norwich' with their accents clearly shining through.
It was a solid set and a great way to introduce who they were, further confirmed by the solid ovation at the end of their set with a couple of members of the crowd shouting 'You're really good' as they walked off. Flor clearly made some new fans last night.
Next up were the headliners of the evening, Walk the Moon.
Going from the opening theme of the Lion King to a moody bass with dark blue lights illuminating the stage, the band came on and launched into the song the tour is named after - 'Press Restart'.
It was a strange start to the song with the band performing in darkness with only dark blue lights shining on them during the chorus giving the song a moodier feel with the deep bass rattling through the venue.
The band soon launched into their set which combined a mix of their old songs with some of the new songs from their latest album 'What If Nothing'.
The crowd were in the palm of their hands with lead singer Nicholas Petricca playing the keyboard and dancing around every chance he could, even busting out the most intense air guitar I've seen during 'All I Want'.
All in all it was a solid evening of indie rock which contained tight production and a set list that showed off everything Walk the Moon had to offer, from their fast paced upbeat tracks like 'Kamikaze' to their slower sentimental songs like 'Aquaman'.
The crowd sung and danced the entire night proving that the energy emanating from the stage was infectious.
The band even made one fans night by getting the room to sing 'Happy Birthday' in between songs.
