An innovative group of Norwich artists is bringing an exhibition to one of the city's pubs.
Making Space are showcasing their work at the Unthank Arms on Newmarket Street today, with a preview of the works held last night.
The artists are Rosie Winn, Leanne Catchpole and Jen Setterfield, as well as two artists who work under the pseudonyms Roobarb and Emmett. They all live in Norwich.
Rosie, pictured above, said the group are “trying to appeal to people who don’t usually go to exhibitions.”
They hope to hold more exhibitions in unexpected places around the city. Rosie said: “Making Space is a diverse group of local artists whose aim is to show affordable work in ways that do not rely on traditional exhibition spaces.
“At a time of rising competition for venues, Making Space looks to make art happen anywhere and to develop access for local artists.
“The group aims to build relationships with local businesses and to exhibit in venues such as pubs.”
All the events held by Making Space will be free to enter. By raising the profile of local artists the group hopes to grow and involve more artists in the community.
