Since winning Britain's Got Talent in 2009, Ashley Banjo and his street dance troupe have wowed fans across the UK with slick choreography and impressive effects.

But their latest tour is their biggest challenge yet as they team up with leading circus company Gandey World Class productions to create a show fusing dance and circus.

The show kicked off at the Trafford Centre in Manchester on Saturday night and is coming to Earlham Park from Friday October 5 to Sunday, October 7 with four shows across the weekend.

The Ignite tour takes place inside a specially designed 2,000 seater big top tent and from the moment you step inside you can feel the energy in the room.

Ushers walk around the audience selling candy floss and popcorn and a woman, who at first glance appears like a fan who has had one too many drinks at the bar, hypes up the audience.

Captalising on Circus 250 and the popularity of The Greatest Showman, the performance kicks off with Ashley Banjo dressed as P.T. Barnum and The Greatest Show title song plays complete with fire breathing and trapeze artists.

The story follows a young boy who lives on the streets and has lost his mum but after Banjo hands him a coin he finds a family in the circus and Diversity.

The young boy is played by a mini-me of Perri Kieley, and also has his gravity-defying afro, and the talented young performer starred in Diversity Juniors in the 2018 series of BGT.

Among the impressive circus acts in the two-hour spectacular included tightrope walkers, who even balanced a chair on the rope, a contortionist who bended his body into jaw-dropping positions and an aerial rope artist.

But the biggest cheer of the night came when four of the performers did tricks in the wheel of death, a large rotating apparatus, which left the audience watching between their fingers and on their feet at the end.

The show was like nothing I have seen before and the combination of Banjo's choreography, which has kept Diversity at the top of its game for almost a decade, and impressive circus stunts was the perfect escapism.
