A sold out Arts Centre were treated last night to a completely weird and wonderful evening of punk rock blues courtesy of the amazing one man show Bob Log III.

First up on stage was his support act Thomas Truax, a multimedia artist and instrument inventor.

Another one man show he is accompanied by his mechanical drum machine built around an old bicycle wheel, and various other devices and instruments.

He is a very strange and bizarre guy, but absolutely compelling to watch as he moves around the stage and room as he performs.

His music is at the far end of the experimental spectrum, but fantastic nonetheless. There is no genre to pigeon hole him in, but I'd urge you to check him out on YouTube.

He set the eccentric feel of the night perfectly to warm a packed main room up comprising of a very eclectic mix of people of all ages, all eager to witness the much talked about main act.

A little past a quarter to ten the lights dipped and the sound of an electric guitar screeched out of the speakers, but the stage remained empty. Then through the crowd walked a man in a modified gold pilots helmet and a gold jump suit. The one and only Bob Log III was in the room.

He jumped onto the stage and launched into his amazingly oddball act, plucking and thrashing his guitar whilst smashing an array of drums connected to his seat by pedals.

His sound is dynamic and raw, much like a punk robot version of Seasick Steve, and gets the crowd rocking as the bass drum kicks out. But it is his humour which sparkles as he charms the crowd between songs, and throughout his pretty original act.

One moment he pulls an inflatable yellow boat to the front of the stage and proceeds to surf the crowd whilst playing his guitar. And at another moment he uses his loop pedals to record the crowd popping balloons he has asked them to blow up, and builds a song around it.

He then he invited various members of the crowd to sit on his knee as he sings and take selfies with him, men and women alike.

He is currently touring the UK until 1st April, before returning to his home city Tuscan, Arizona to play the first gig of an extensive US tour. If you have not already, I urge you to catch him perform his freaky show. He is definitely one of a kind and well worth watching live.
