Looking as suave as ever Martin Fry's vocals remain as sharp as his suits.

The pop showman rolled back the years with a set of sophisticated soul-pop packing pop hooks galore.

The Sheffield band, of which Fry is the only permenant member, were very definitely one of a number of groups who came along and kick-started the 1980s with their own brand of pop for a ‘new decade’.

Their debut, The Lexicon of Love, boasting the majestic production from Trevor Horn, crashed straight into the UK album charts at number one. It remains a classic.

For Let’s Rock the band were joined by a quartet of violinists adding extra smoothness to a string of hits including Poison Arrow and All Of My Heart.

Having released Lexicon of Love II in 2016, he risked newer material too, but in atestament to just how timeless their polished love songs were first time round the join was seamless.
