There is lots more weird and wonderful fun for audiences to enjoy in the final four days of this year's Norfolk & Norwich Festival. Arts correspondent Emma Knights looks at some highlights

From theatrical performances on the Norfolk coast to three days full of literary talks and debate in a city park, Norfolk & Norwich Festival will be drawing to a close this weekend with a packed programme of events across the county.

There may be just four days left of this year's 17 day arts extravaganza but there is still a huge amount in store for audiences to look forward to. Below are some highlights:

• Wayfaring – Wells Beach, Friday and Saturday, 8pm-10pm, free

See the stunning landscape of Wells beach take centre stage in a sunset performance that marks the culmination of a week-long project which has involved volunteers working with And Now: to create an installation inspired by the ancient routes of the Icknield Way from Norfolk to Wiltshire.

• City of Literature Weekend - Chapelfield Gardens, Norwich, Friday to Sunday, various times and ticket prices

From Women on Writing with Sarah Perry and special guests to Going Nuclear with Fred Pearce, Norwich's UNESCO City of Literature status is being celebrated with three days packed full of literary talks and events presented in partnership with Writers' Centre Norwich.

• Beasts - Outside Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, University of East Anglia, every day, free

Find the three new Beast sculptures by Lynn Chadwick that have joined the sculpture park at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts at the UEA until August 31.

• Timepiece – Norwich Cathedral, Friday, midday to midnight, hourly performances are free on the hour from midday to 8pm and at 11pm and midnight, tickets for the 9pm-10pm concert cost £10

Beginning with a solo singer at midday, every hour on the hour The Voice Project will fill the ancient surrounds of Norwich Cathedral with song, building up to a full choir in concert by 9pm before fading back to a single voice at midnight.

• The Seafarers – Great Yarmouth seafront, Saturday 5pm and Sunday 3pm, free

Stopgap Dance Company and a cast of local dancers will present a part-gig part-spectacle that celebrates our relationship with the sea and the journeys we make across it. The show features the music of contemporary folk band, Moulettes.

• Three Cathedral Choirs – Norwich Cathedral, tonight, 7.30pm, £12-£26

Norwich Cathedral Choir is being joined by the choirs of Ely and Peterborough cathedrals for a special concert featuring works by Parry, Bernstein, Ireland, Holst and Vaughan Williams, as well as a new commission by former BBC Young Composer of the Year, Alex Woolf.

• Britten Sinfonia perform Beethoven with Thomas Ades – Norwich Theatre Royal, Sunday, 7.30pm, £8-£34

Following last year's performance of Beethoven's Symphonies 1 and 2, conductor Thomas Ades and the Britten Sinfonia are returning to perform Symphonies 4 and 5 as well as a piano concerto by Gerald Barry.

• Damien Hirst: Colour Space Paintings and Outdoor Sculptures - Houghton Hall, today, Saturday and Sunday, 11am-5pm, £18

See controversial artist Damien Hirst's latest Colour Space paintings adorn Houghton Hall's historic walls and discover some of his famous sculptures in the estate's beautiful grounds. The show runs until July 15.

• Provisional Figures – The Drill House, Great Yarmouth, Friday and Saturday, 7pm, £3-£12

Portuguese film and theatre director Marco Martins has created a new theatre performance inspired by the stories of members of the Portuguese community living in Great Yarmouth.

• Real Magic - Norwich Playhouse, Saturday, 7.30pm, £12

Forced Entertainment's show Real Magic will see three performers take part in an impossible illusion described as a part mind-reading feat, part cabaret act and part nightmare gameshow.

• Late night music in the Adnams Spiegeltent - Chapelfield Gardens, Norwich, Thursday to Saturday, 10pm, £15 per show

Saxophone-drum duo Binker and Moses, solo artist Ashley Henry, and energetic jazz ensemble Maisha are set to entertain music fans in the festival's iconic pop-up venue.

• Maya Youssef Trio - Norwich Playhouse, tonight, 7.30pm, £18

Enjoy Syrian musician Maya Youssef's unique and innovative approach to playing the qanun - a traditional Middle Eastern plucked zither.

Schubert's Trout Quintet features in an evening of intimate chamber music that will also include works by Brahms and Brett Dean.

• Shift - Adnams Spiegeltent, Thursday to Sunday, various times, £20-£22

Barely Methodical Troupe's four-strong cast for Shift wows with all manner of acrobatic tricks and circus spectacle performed with an array of huge rubber bands.

• Nathan Coley - NUA's East Gallery and St Laurence's Church, today, Friday and Saturday, 12pm-5pm, free

Turner Prize nominee Nathan Coley's latest work looks at our relationship with sacred and secular architecture, signage and protest, and systems of faith. The two-venue show runs until July 7.
