One reader found the disruption caused by a music festival in the city centre unacceptable. Do you agree?

Regarding the Norwich Nearly Festival, at the risk of sounding a killjoy, whose idea was it to allow the two day, very noisy, music festival event to be held in the centre of Norwich so near to residents?

We and many other neighbours were trying to enjoy a warm day in our gardens and to have windows open, but for nine-and-a-half hours on Saturday and eight-and-a-half on Sunday we had to suffer the noise and relentless booming beat coming from the bands at the event.

We live about 15 minutes walk from Chapelfield Gardens so the residents closer to the site must have been even more disturbed.

I trust this will not become a regular event and if another one is planned it should take place outside the city centre somewhere well away from residents.
