A group of rainbows have been busy fundraising for a special guiding centenary event later this year and have hosted a community coffee morning to help a charity.
The 1st Old Catton Rainbows, who are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, organised the event to raise money for the Seaside Sparkle Centenary Celebration in September at Yarmouth, as well as Diabetes UK - a cause close to the girls' hearts, as one of the rainbows members suffers from diabetes.
Tracey Miller, unit leader, said: 'It's really hard for the group to raise money, as most of the girls are between five and seven, but they enjoy fundraising and it's part of their promise.'
The group has been awarded a Grass Roots Grant, which will pay for a trip to London in June, when the girls will see the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace.
Mrs Miller said: 'It's an exciting experience considering some of them don't even know where London is. I wanted to arrange something special, as this year our unit is also 20-years-old.'
