The win sets up a clash with another Premier Division side Woodbridge Town in the final to be played at Diss Town FC on Friday, May 7, ko 7.45. With Woodbridge beating Kirkley & Pakefield 2-0 in the other semi-final it brought to an end Kirkley's amazing unbeaten run which has lasted for nearly three years.

In the League Shield quarter-finals Gt Yarmouth Postals beat Kirkley and Pakefield's second string by two clear goals at Walmer Road with Colin Danby and Steve Eastoe on the scoresheet. Sprowston Wanderers beat visitors and holders Spixworth United in their local derby 3-2 after extra-time with John Allison, Jon Coote and Aaron Donnelly (top-scorer with 8) on target. Adam Munt and Kirk Paulin replied.

In the Seniors Cup Kings Head Loddon beat visitors Hellesdon 2-0 in the other tie.

Division Two (East) leaders Griffin tightened their grip at the top by just squeezing home by the only goal at Yarmouth-based Kings Arms Crusaders. The all-important goal came from Jason Ladbrooke. Aylsham Black Boys go second in Division Three (North) following their emphatic 7-1 victory at City side NALGO OB.
