Could someone explain why so much of our money is being spent on unnecessary cycle paths.
I say unnecessary as only about 10pc of the cycling fraternity use them, the other 90pc would much rather screw up the commuter traffic on the feeder routes into and out of Norwich, causing frustration and anger by their thoughtlessness.
Perhaps it might be a good idea that cyclists are obliged to pay for a 'cycle path fund licence' just as a motorist has to pay for a 'road fund licence', additionally a little bit of insurance on their part might not go amiss.
All of this might concentrate their minds on the provisions that have been made for them for which most of them choose to ignore.
Whilst on the subject of cyclists a crackdown by the police on red light 'shooting' and on poor or no front and rear lights would also enhance their safety.
