It was the school with a difference - long gone but never forgotten and now a reunion is on the cards.

Give us an N, give us a...well, you can see the rest.

The name Norman stood for class, style and top dancing, which the people of Norwich and Norfolk loved to bits.

This school of dancing played a leading role in so many young lives and their public performances were always a hit.

Thank you for all your memories of stories about the school run by Peter and Nancy Norman, first at the Samson & Hercules and then at their own studios on All Saints Green in the city.

Many of you have been hunting through drawers and cupboards, and have even been up into the loft, searching for photographs to bring the memories back.

Now the teachers Moya and Milly are among those trying to find out what happened to their friend Janet Elvin, who is thought to have left for Australia in the 1960s.

Perhaps she still has family in Norwich?

Watch this space for more tales and snaps from the glory days of the dear old Norman, plus a touching love story.
