If you love music which packs a real punch then how about treating yourself to some Brass Explosion! with Taverham band and guests?

When Ian Colman picks up his baton and the musicians prepare to play, you know you are in for a treat.

We have some fantastic bands in Norfolk at the moment and they don't come much better than the tremendous Taverham Band.

The band is having one of its busiest periods ever, having just returned from a Jubilee tour to the Peak District,

This included playing at the majestic Chatsworth, followed by a royal performance at Sandringham for the Queen's glorious Diamond Jubilee garden party.

Now the band is gearing itself up for its next concert at the end of June with The Voice contestant, the brilliant Cringleford tenor Benjamin Lake. The 45-strong band, renowned for the series of Exploding Brass concerts held biennially in Taverham, will be performing Brass Explosion! at The Space, Roundtree Way, Norwich, on Saturday, June 30.

It will feature music from the world of stage, screen and beyond with Benjamin joining soprano Rebecca Mundy for a memorable night.

Benjamin sang I Who Have Nothing on The Voice and judge Jessie J, said: 'Your voice is amazing. For me, your voice is on the stage, and it is beautiful for that.

While the legendary Tom Jones added: 'It sounded a little too operatic for me, but I liked it. Keep doing what you do.'

The concert will be a great opportunity to hear both Benjamin and Rebecca singing with a big brass band.

There will also be musical tributes to half a century of James Bond movies and 100 years since the loss of Titanic.

Tickets for the concert cost 12 and there are several ways to purchase.
