Food fanatics won’t want to miss out on these local goodies at the Norwich Food & Drink Festival on Sunday, June 18.

1. A pie from Pie Central

This pop-up pie company will be setting up shop at the festival, serving handmade gourmet pies and tasty sides. The menu includes classics such as Steak & Ale and Chicken, Ham & Leek, as well as more adventurous options such as the Cheeseburger Pie (free-ranged minced beef, smoked bacon and mature cheddar cheese) and Pulled Jack Fruit Pie.

2. A cool glass of English wine

Treat yourself to some vino from recently launched Flint Vineyards. Ben and Hannah’s wines are exceptionally good. In fact, Adnams loved their Bacchus so much it’s bottling some under its own label. Smooth, citrussy and ripe, with a buttery undercurrent, if you like sauvignon blanc, this is the tipple for you.

3. Nut butter from Nuoi Foods

Twin sisters Sophie and Lauren Chittock are the masterminds behind Nuoi foods and their all-natural nut butters packed with all the goodness of nature and free from refined sugar, palm oil, gluten and dairy. Flavours include Raspberry & White Chocolate, Pecan Pie, Vanilla Espresso and Smooth Peanut.

4. Indian/Asian Street food from Chaat Man

After travelling around India, Phil became inspired to create his own versions of the food he had tried. He now creates unique vegan plant-based dishes combining raw, cooked and cultured elements with global flavours. Popular dishes include Bhelpuri made with puffed rice, vegetables and a tangy sauce.

5. Biscotti from Bon Bakery

This family bakery based in Norfolk specialises in vegan and diet goods and is well-known for its biscotti and gluten-free boncotti which are made with high quality locally sourced ingredients. The biscotti are twice-baked and made with an artisan Moroccan twist for a rustic look. Try salted caramel, coffee & hazelnut, orange chocolate and spiced fruit.

6. Norfolk Truffles

The Norfolk Truffle Company is dedicated to producing high-quality hand made truffles using fine Belgian chocolate. A large selection of flavours are on offer, including plain Milk, White and Dark as well as exciting combinations such as Champagne and Strawberries, Bucks Fizz, Raspberry Lemonade, Apricot & Amaretto and Chilli.

7. Awesome Norfolk chutney

The Candi’s Chutneys are all made purely with Norfolk produce (apart from the spices of course) and have won multiple awards. Each of the recipes is totally unique so you really have to give them a whirl. I love the spiced parsnip chutney - it’s amazing with roast beef. And there’s an authentic Kashmiri mango chutney too. The twist? It’s made with bramley apples, not mango!

8. A pastry (or two) from The Artisan Pastry Chef

The Artisan Pastry Chef aims to give English patisserie a new twist and the array of treats he’ll have with him at the festival will undoubtedly have your mouth watering, from pastries and tarts to decadent cakes… Just save a Pastéis de Nata for us!

9. A refreshing glass of Norfolk Apple Juice

With so much food to try, you’ll almost certainly want something refreshing to wash it down with. Why not grab yourself a refreshing glass or bottle of Norfolk Pure Apple Juice? Made on Ashill Fruit Farm, the juice comes in several varieties including cloudy, sweet, medium sweet, medium and dry.

10. Prime hog roast

You just can’t beat a proper hog roast. The tender, fall apart shreds of meat. Crackling! I’m getting hungry just thinking about it. Hog roast experts Lilwalls will be at the festival doing what they do best.
