Each week we put someone in the hot seat and ask them 10 questions, this week we spoke with Harry Stewart-Weeks, drummer from Planet, ahead of their show at Norwich Waterfront on May 8.

Describe Norwich in three words…

A fine city.

If you were stranded on a desert island with three other people, who would you want them to be?

Bear Grylls - In this kind of situation you’d definitely want a survivalist with you - someone to sort out the food and shelter. Plus he always gets picked up at the end of every episode, so we’d have a good chance of getting home.

Bob Dylan - If he could bring a guitar. Having some music would help you maintain your sanity. If Bob’s not available I’d accept some other singer-songwriter of note. Maybe someone like Gilberto Gil or Caetano Veloso would be a better fit actually. More tropical.

Tom Hanks - He’s been in this situation before. He’ll know what to do.

If you could be anyone else, who would you be?

Kanye West seems like he’s having a pretty good time. It’d be interesting to be in his head space. For a while anyway.

What’s your mantra in life?

Be kind to others.

Which song defines your life?

A Day in the Life - The Beatles. The similarities are eerie.

How would you spend a perfect weekend in Norwich?

Definitely would have to go and watch the Canaries play - preferably against Ipswich for the derby atmosphere. After that, maybe duck into a few of the museums to soak up some of the rich history and then spend the rest of the time looking for Alan Partridge.

What’s your biggest fear?

The thought that we’re all alone in the universe and the entire human race is just a fluke of cosmic happenstance, dooming us to pursue a futile quest for meaning that, ultimately, will only leave us with more questions than answers. I’m also not particularly fond of spiders.

Would you rather spend a night in front of the TV or out in the city?

Depends if there’s anything good on the telly, but generally a good night out with friends and music will top most other experiences in life.

What one thing could you never be without?

At the risk of sounding cliche: music. Have you ever been to a silent disco? When you don’t have the headphones on it’s just a bunch of people weirdly contorting their bodies and the only thing you can hear is shuffling feet and the occasional “Woo!”. Imagine that but all the time.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

Pay off any outstanding debts. Give some of it to mum. Build a studio and set up a record label.
