Snetterton hosts its first Mini Festival this weekend celebrating the traditional and modern incarnation of a British icon with the promise of scintillating action.

The Miglia's are the quicker of the two traditional Mini categories which is currently led by Aaron Smith, having won the first race, with round two cancelled due to an accident and the circuit operational time expiring.

Cambridgeshire's Rupert Deeth was third behind Sam Summerhayes who are both keen to topple Smith making for an intriguing battle this weekend.

A brace of victories for Lewis Selby in the Sevens gives him a slender lead over Andrew Deviny who was placed second on both occasions while Paul Spark and Charlie Budd shared third place between them.

Such is the competitive nature of the series expect different names to appear on the podium this weekend.

The newer Minis have their own slot with the Mini Challenge Cooper category kicking off their series at the Norfolk venue promising some close action.

The F3 Cup adds a single seater flavour to the weekend with Shane Kelly keen to maintain his momentum from round one at Donington Park when he won all three races.

Kelly's nearest challenge was Jacopo Sebastiani but the Italian is unfamiliar with the Snetterton layout unlike Robbie Watts, who is a multi race winner at the Norfolk venue, and hopes to put Kelly's run to an end.

The SsangYong Racing Challenge is new for this season with Topcroft's Harry Webb, fresh from racing in the British F4 Championship last weekend, determined to show case his skills on his home circuit.

The Mini Challenge Open races pit all sorts of modified Minis on track allowing the self-constructors only their imagination to hold them back while thrilling the crowd with their creations.

The BMW Z car series makes its first visit to the Norfolk track and will race as part of the MSVR Allcomers grid which consists of high powered two seater sports cars to humble saloon cars.

Completing the 20 race programme are races for the MSVR Trackday Trophy and two events for the Tackday Championship with Mangoes Racing and Clark Racing currently tied at the top of the table with racing starting at 1.35pm on Saturday and resuming at 9.25am on Sunday.
