Norwich United await a morning pitch inspection before travelling to take on Romford.

It took the Planters nine attempts to get their first win of the season under their belts and it wasn’t until mid-October that they were able to repeat the feat.

But they have doubled their win tally this month with home wins over Canvey island and Brentwood Town and on Boxing Day left high-flying Dereham Town with a point.

Romford stand between United – who host Mildenhall on Monday – and a fourth game unbeaten.

Their hosts are bottom of the table, seven points behind the Planters, albeit with two games in hand, and have won just one of their 11 home games this season.

Dereham Town resume their campaign when they welcome fourth-placed Canvey Island, the side immediately below them in the table, to Aldiss Park (3pm).

They then travel to Soham Town Rangers on New Year’s Day (Monday, 3pm).
