Fakenham Town booked their place in the last four of the Norfolk Senior Cup after beating Diss Town 2-1 in a replayed quarter-final last night.
The Ghosts won the original tie 1-0, but the result was declared null and void when it emerged that two of their players should have missed the fixture through suspension.
Fakenham issued a statement criticising the decision, claiming they followed information on the Norfolk FA's website, but were told they had to play the game again - and as it turned out the outcome was the same.
The visitors went ahead three minutes before half-time when George Abbott scored after a jinking run but they were pegged back by the Division One side after the break, with a Callum Webb header levelling the scores.Josh Young then had the final say with another header to seal a semi-final date with Anglian Combination outfit Harleston Town at the FDC on March 15.
