It's coming home.

That's been the England fans' mantra as a sense of optimism around this young, progressive team has grown out in Russia.

As Gareth Southgate's men prepare to face Colombia in the last 16 of the World Cup in Moscow on Tuesday evening, it's hard to get away from the feeling this is England's big chance.

The debate has been had over the rights and wrongs of sending out a weakened team in the final group game against Belgium.

But the end result has seen England placed on the side of the draw where no team should hold any fear for them.

Yes, there are still good teams between Southgate's men and a potential final, but most fans would have taken a knockout route that avoids any of the truly big guns.

Colombia are a dangerous side and capable of causing problems to an England side that has yet to be truly tested.

But, for the moment at least, Southgate has installed a mentality to his squad and a way of playing that has restored some pride for England's supporters.

Harry Kane has been the star man so far, bagging five goals in the wins over Tunisia and Panama, making him the favourite for the Golden Boot.

But could someone else take centre stage this evening?
