The Norwich & District Sunday League will provide five of the eight quarter finalists in this season's Norfolk Sunday Senior Cup.

Acle Rangers progressed to the last eight after a 5-2 home win over True Traders FC, whilst Schoolhouse had a comfortable 7-1 win at Phoenix. Riverside Rovers also went through courtesy of a 3-1 victory against Brooke FC and Horsford United won 5-1 at Briston FC.

Sprowston Wanderers reached the next round by beating Trimingham Pilgrims 4-2 but there was disappointment for Hewett OB's and Mischief FC who both suffered defeats on their travels. Whilst the league has five of the remaining sides in the competition, the other three from other leagues, are very good sides.

Its an even split in the Sunday Junior Cup with four Sunday League sides reaching the last eight of the competition. Long Stratton U19 had a very good 6-1 win at Norfolk Terrier FC, whilst Hempnall comfortably won their local derby with Woodton United 7-1. Silver Fox hit eight without reply at Nelson Athletic and Qube FC reached the quarter final as they scored seven against Rose Athletic Res.

In league matters, only one game took place in the Premier Division and it saw DE FC move up into third spot, Xavier Huckle scoring twice as they beat Poringland Wanderers 4-2.

In Division One, The Middle Green increased their lead at the top by thumping 10 past Rose Athletic, whilst Hellesdon hit five when winning at Norman Wanderers Res.

With Division Two leaders Mischief FC involved in the cup, Woolpack missed the chance to close the gap further as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Mad Moose, for whom Lewis Malin scored. In-form Drayton Dazzlers won 3-0 at Marlborough, whilst goals by Adam Waters and Jordan Rolf helped Hethersett Athletic to a 2-1 win at Sprowston Wildcats.

Brooke FC Res put last week's disappointment behind them as they bounced back to winning ways; scoring seven (Lewis Knight 3, Simon Curtis 2, Thomas Knight 2) in the process against Acle Rangers Res in Division Three. DCS Rapid remain in pursuit after beating East Tuddenham 5-1, whilst the game between Dynamo and Newsman Celtic failed to produce a goal.

AFC Norwich increased their lead at the top of Division Four to five points with a 7-1 (Ryan Bensley 3, Luke Perry, Ben Revell, James Wheeler, Elliot Revell) win at Eaton Park Corinthians, and in the division's only other game, Hethersett Athletic Res beat Sporting Iceni 4-1, goals coming from Dion Hill (2), Matt Pummell and Daniel Payne.

Watton United are now top of Division Five after Tom Rayner scored twice in a 2-0 home win over morning leaders AG Athletic, whilst Easton came back from Ashill with the three points in a 4-0 (Devin Blundell 2, Rhys Cousins, Craig Wright) win.

Despite being held to a 2-2 draw at St Andrews, Scole United now top the Under 19 Division as morning leaders Long Stratton were in cup action. Harry Browne scored four and Owen Bryent three as Cringleford scored nine without reply when beating Heigham Park Rangers and Tinashe Madzimur and Max Ingrey were on target for Hellesdon as they drew 2-2 at Acle Rangers.
