Norwich School's under-16 sailing team travelled down to Oxford Sailing Club to compete in the prestigious Eric Twiname/Royal Yachting Association Team Racing Championships.

The team of William Pank, Seb Gotto, Josh Means and Grace Pank sailed superbly throughout, winning a remarkable 19 out of 20 races, to convincingly win the Junior trophy. The team beat Falcons in the final to take the trophy for the first time in the school's history.

U16 team member William is now preparing to travel to Bermuda where he will compete in the Renaissance Re Junior Gold Cup. William, as the number one ranked Optimist sailor in Great Britain, is one of only 16 sailors worldwide, and the only one from the UK, who have been invited to the event.

The event is considered one of the highlight events in the Optimist class racing calendar.

Finally the Norwich School Old Norvicensian alumni sailing team secured a school record second place at the esteemed Arrow Trophy sailing event in the Solent. Having previously secured a best placing of ninth in the annual independent schools sailing race, the team qualified fourth for the Sunday match racing and beat Cheltenham and Charterhouse schools before losing out in the final to Abingdon.
