Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme has had his suspension for violent conduct, after being sent off in his side's 3-1 loss to Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday, reduced to two matches.
The keeper was sent off in the second half of the game after appearing to bring down City playmaker Wes Hoolahan and giving away a penalty, before proceeding to shove the Irishman back to the floor.
Wolves appealed the decision and Ikeme subsequently accused Hoolahan of diving when posting on his Twitter account and has now seen his three-game ban reduced.
An FA statement published this afternoon said: 'Carl Ikeme's three-match suspension for violent conduct has been reduced to two matches after a claim of excessive punishment was successful.
'An earlier wrongful dismissal claim in relation to the Wolverhampton Wanderers player's sending off against Norwich City on Saturday [21 January 2017] was rejected.
'Both claims were heard before an Independent Regulatory Commission today.'
The incident unfolded with the game still at 1-1 and with Wolves having already made all three of their substitutions, leading to defender Matt Doherty having to take over in goal.
Robbie Brady scored the resulting penalty and Jonny Howson later fired home a third goal to make sure of the win for the Canaries.
