The importance of everyone in the squad contributing to the team effort was underlined in our 2-1 win against Stockport County on Monday.
We had to make changes because of goalkeeper Fraser Forster's suspension and injuries to Gary Doherty and Wes Hoolahan but I was delighted with the lads and the way they went about their task.
Zak Whitbread had not started a first team match for more than 10 months but did a very good job in defence, and Anthony McNamee did great and got himself a lovely goal, his first for the club, to put us ahead very early in the game.
It is important to know we have people who can come in and perform well when we have injuries or suspensions.
