Long-term injury victim Matt Jarvis could play his first game in almost a year after recovering from an ankle problem, with Matt Gill’s team looking for their fourth win in five matches.

The young Canaries are tied on 26 points in PL2 Division Two, with Fulham fifth and the hosts sixth, both two points adrift of a play-off place.

Fulham’s U23s are coach by former Norwich first-team manager and player Peter Grant, who is looking forward to a return to Carrow Road.

“I was fortunate enough to play for Norwich and to manage there, I loved it, it is a fantastic club,” said the former Celtic midfielder, who made 75 appearances for City between 1997 and 1999.

“There were fantastic people like Michael (Wynn-Jones) and Delia (Smith), they were excellent with me. It is a club close to my heart so it is always special to go back there, but I always like going back to beat them.

“There is nothing better than going back to one of your old clubs, you go back there and have great respect for them.”

Grant was manager between October 2006 and October 2007, resigning after a largely unsuccessful period. His son, Ray, came through the academy at City and played regularly for the U23s before being released last summer, having made one brief senior appearance.
