Birmingham City have had a £3.5m offer for reported Norwich City target Aden Flint rejected.
Sky Sports News sources claimed on Tuesday afternoon the Blues’ gambit for the highly-rated 28-year-old has been dismissed by the Robins.
City were linked with an enquiry for a similar figure on Monday by the Daily Telegraph’s John Percy.
City have conceded four goals in each of their last two Championship games against Aston Villa and Millwall demonstrating the need for reinforcements.
The Canaries have tried to bolster their defence this summer with the arrivals of Christoph Zimmermann and Marcel Franke and Borussia Dortmund II and Greuther Furth respectively.
But there still appears to be a soft centre to the Canaries backline with Russell Martin coming in for heavy criticism from some supporters for his performance in the defeat at Millwall.
Timm Klose has been out with an ankle injury sustained against Cambridge United in pre-season but is expected to be fit to return for the match against Birmingham after the international break.
