80. 181 appearances/80 goals
Jack Vinall was something of a goal machine for Norwich City during his four years at the club.
The Birmingham-born striker certainly knew how to hit the back of the net and demonstrated as much in only his second game for the Canaries. After signing from Sunderland, he scored four goals in only his second match during a 7-2 win against Bristol City in 1933.
Vinall went on to play every match of the 1933/34 campaign as City secured promotion from Division Three South for the first time.
Vinall famously scored in the Canaries’ first ever FA Cup third round victory against Bath City during the club’s final season at The Nest in 1935.
Tom Parker’s team beat their Western League opponents 2-0 as Vinall and Alf Kirchen were on target. Norwich went on to beat Leeds in the next round before losing to eventual winners Sheffield Wednesday.
