Harry Toffolo was sent off for the first time in his senior career – but it didn’t inflict too much damage on his loan club.
The 21-year-old Norwich City left-back saw red for a second bookable offence after 51 minutes of Scunthorpe United’s League One table-topping clash at Sheffield United.
By that time, the Blades had already equalised Paddy Madden’s opener and arguably it was the second-placed Iron who came closest to taking all three points with 10 men.
Things weren’t much better for Declan Rudd, whose early error gifted Rochdale a four-minute lead at home to Charlton. However the Addicks ensured a topsy turvey game ended 3-3 thanks to Jorge Teixeira’s 88th-minute equaliser.
Ray Grant made his debut for National League promotion-chasers Dagenham and Redbridge, but was withdrawn at half-time with the daggers 1-0 down at home to lowly Guiseley. They went on to lose 2-1.
