New signings are the order of the day for Norwich City supporters, after seeing their side beaten 2-1 at home by Sheffield United.

The Canaries saw their four-game unbeaten Championship run brought to an end by the Blades, who had their feet up in midweek while City were playing 120 minutes at Chelsea in the FA Cup before being beaten on penalties.

The result was a flat, disjointed performance from Daniel Farke’s threadbare squad, who remain 13th in the table but niow nine points adrift of the play-off positions.

Following on from the sales of Alex Pritchard, to Huddersfield for an initial £11m, and striker Cameron Jerome to Derby County, for an initial £1.5m, and the loan exits of Yanic Wildschut, Steven Naismith, Russell Martin and Marcel Franke – attention have now shifted to bolstering City’s squad.
