Birmingham City boss Steve Cotterill has refused to be drawn on the Blues’ interest in Norwich City striker Cameron Jerome.
Birmingham are among a clutch of Championship clubs including Cardiff City, Derby County and Sunderland reportedly interested in signing the 31-year-old.
However, Cotterill wouldn’t comment on speculation linking Jerome with a January move to St Andrews.
“I would imagine there is probably a lot of clubs linked with Cameron Jerome at this moment in time,” said the Brum boss after his side’s 2-0 win over Reading.
“But I don’t talk about players that are other clubs’ unless the deal is done and they end up being our player. I wouldn’t disrespect Norwich or any other club.”
Jerome has been heavily tipped for a transfer window exit this month after falling behind Nelson Oliveira in the pecking order at Carrow Road.
Jerome signed a new Norwich deal in June 2016 keeping him at the club until 2019, with an additional one year option.
The frontman has endured an injury-hit season in recent weeks but had scored twice in 17 appearances for Daniel Farke.
