The Norwich City transfer rumour mill is in full swing, with news about Todd Cantwell, Cameron Archer and potential sales surfacing recently around the Canaries.

City head coach Dean Smith is understood to be an admirer of Aston Villa striker Archer, who is being courted by a number of clubs interested in signing him on loan.

Whether Villa boss Steven Gerrard allows the 20-year-old to depart will depend on his pre-season assessment of the English youth international, who made his first-team debut under Smith.

One player who could be heading out the other side of the revolving door is Cantwell, who was recently linked with a move to Blackburn Rovers.

The Lancashire club are said to be keen on a loan for the creative midfielder, but there are doubts around whether Norwich would sanction such a move in the final year of his contract.

Chief Norwich City reporter Connor Southwell was joined by Paddy Davitt and Samuel Seaman for this summer's first edition of Window Watch, our show breaking down and analysing all the key recruitment developments at Carrow Road.

Davitt praised City's window so far, but warned supporters to expect a quiet one, saying: "They've done a good piece of business with Isaac Hayden – it certainly ticks a box.

"I spoke to a Newcastle fan yesterday and they still can’t believe that Norwich managed to get him. It’s been a positive start to the window but the scale of it will be completely dictated by outs.

"They’ve brought in Hayden and Dean Smith made it quite clear that City need a creative player – the Emi Buendia-shaped hole. If they do those two bits of business then I really don’t see too much else happening.

"They would need to sell a Max Aarons, a Milot Rashica, a Christos Tzolis. If anyone was hoping for a real lift from the business in the transfer window then I don’t think that’s going to happen."
