Norwich City have been linked with a move for Liverpool winger Harry Wilson.
According to The Sun, City are keen on signing the 21-year-old Welsh attacker on loan next season.
In fact, they go as far as saying City have already opened talks with Liverpool over Wilson – despite Jurgen Klopp’s plans to have the winger involved in the Reds’ pre-season training programme, tour and friendlies this summer.
Wilson spent the second half of last season on loan at Championship outfit Hull City, where he made 14 appearances – scoring an impressive seven goals with three assists in the process.
One of those eye-catching performances was the Tigers’ 4-3 comeback win over Norwich, where Wilson made Hull’s sixth-minute opener and scored their 71st-minute winner in a man of the match effort.
Wilson also has one senior appearance for Liverpool and a short spell on loan at Crewe three years ago, under his belt.
He is also Wales’ youngest ever player having made his debut in October 2013 at the age of 16 years and 207 days – beating Gareth Bale’s previous record. That made Wilson Liverpool’s youngest ever international footballer.
Wilson scored his first Wales goal against the hosts at the China Cup, back in March.
With Josh Murphy’s £10m-plus departure to Cardiff and City cutting their losses with Marley Watkins, who joined Bristol City in a £1m-plus switch this month, Norwich are expected to be on the lookout for fresh wide reinforcements during the summer transfer window.
They have already been linked with Wolves winger Ben Marshall, who had a similarly successful loan at Millwall last season.
