Josh Sargent hasn't managed to shake off his illness and misses Norwich City's clash with Crystal Palace at Carrow Road tonight, with the hosts making three changes to their starting XI.

Angus Gunn returns in goal, Max Aarons replaces Sam Byram at right-back, who drops to the bench alongside Billy Gilmour in a return to a 4-4-2 formation with Teemu Pukki joining Adam Idah in attack.

The visitors make four changes, with star man Wilfried Zaha among the players to return to their starting line-up.

The Canaries go into the game looking to build on four wins in their last five games after a 1-0 victory at Wolves on Saturday in the FA Cup fourth round.

City dropped back into the relegation zone last night thanks to Newcastle's 3-1 home win over Everton but would move back out of the bottom three with a win tonight.

The Eagles are eight points better off in 13th place but have only won one of their last six top-flight games, a 3-0 home win over Norwich in late December when City were without 10 players due to injury or illness.

Palace also won in the FA Cup on Saturday, winning 2-0 at home to League Two side Hartlepool United and welcome back Zaha from his Africa Cup of Nations duty with Ivory Coast.

Ozan Kabak is alongside Sargent in being ruled out due to illness and both Lukas Rupp and Andrew Omobamidele have returned to full training but the game arrives too soon for both.

Christoph Zimmermann is on the bench though after recent under-23s action, having not featured for the first team since an ankle injury in August that required surgery.

Otherwise, goalkeeper Tim Krul (shoulder) and midfielder Jacob Sorensen (knee) are hoping to be back in contention before the end of the month.

The visitors have two experienced players back from injury, with centre-back James Tomkins and midfielder James McArthur both on the bench.

Vincente Guaita returns in goal, Joachim Andersen resumes in central defence and WIll Hughes also comes back into their midfield in the usual 4-3-3 formation.

Central midfield enforcer Cheikh Kouyate is not available for selection yet though, after winning Afcon with Senegal on Sunday.
